Who we are
The database is owned by the Faculty of Social Sciences of Charles University. Its latest update was created thanks to the support of the SIGMA grant at Charles University, whose main investigator was Hana Kubátová. The project thus continues the faculty's long-term efforts to systematically strengthen the infrastructure for high-quality social science research and at the same time support greater visibility of experts in the Czech public space.
The database is designed as an open source for all researchers in the field of social sciences and humanities. Interested parties can register themselves using their ORCID identifier, which ensures verifiability and basic standardization of professional profiles. The goal is to offer a clear, secure and professional space where researchers can present their expertise and where they can be easily found by journalists, institutions and other professional public.
The Faculty of Social Sciences is one of the youngest and most dynamic faculties of Charles University. It brings together five institutes that cover key social science fields – economics, communication studies and journalism, international studies, sociology and political science. The Faculty provides a wide range of educational programs and provides a top-notch environment for social science research. Its academic staff systematically develop theory, methodology, and empirical research across the main areas of social sciences and actively contribute to shaping professional and public debate in the Czech Republic.
