These terms set out the rules for using the website https://najdiexperta.cz/ (the “Website”) (the “Terms”). Please carefully read the Terms before you begin using the Website. By accessing any part of the Website, you agree to comply with these Terms.

The owner and operator of the Website is the Faculty of Social Sciences of Charles University.

(“we” or the “Operator”).

These Terms apply to all persons who visit the Website (“you” or the “User(s)”).

The Website is accessible to the public free of charge. Users undertake to use the Website in accordance with applicable laws.

An expert is a User who creates their profile in the Najdi experta (“Find an Expert”) database, which is accessible on the Website (the “Expert”).

The content of the Website consists of the Find an Expert database, which connects the research community to the public. It allows Users to search for Experts and allows Experts to create their profiles.

The Website includes its visual content, textual content, HTML codes, configurations and structure, content, technology, computer programs, processes and methods used to operate the Website, and generally any element that is part of the Website.

All materials and documents published on the Website, regardless of their nature, and generally the information and content of the Website are the full and exclusive property of the Operator, with the exception of the individual profiles of the Experts.

Unless otherwise specified, the downloading, reproduction, and use of any materials and/or documents is not permitted.

The registration of experts in the Find an Expert database is voluntary and free of charge.

By completing the registration, Experts confirm that they have provided accurate information and that they have registered by themselves. Third parties are not permitted to register on behalf of Experts without their consent.

The Experts confirm that the published content will not infringe the rights of third parties.

We recommend that the Experts update their information on a regular basis.

The Experts acknowledge that, by completing their registration, they agree to have their profile published in the publicly accessible Find an Expert database.

If an Expert is no longer interested in having their profile published in the Find an Expert database, they are entitled to delete their profile at any time.

The information contained on the Website is for general purposes only. We provide this information to facilitate connections with Experts in specific research fields.

The content of the information relies on third parties. Thus, we accept no responsibility or liability of any kind in connection with the information on the Website, in particular, but not exclusively, with regard to the completeness, accuracy, relevance, and reliability of the information contained on the Website, and in particular, the information contained in the Find an Expert database.

The Operator is not liable for any outages, technical downtime, malfunctions, unavailability, or poor availability of the Website.

The Operator is not liable for advertising or any other form of promotion made by any third party if displayed on the Website, nor for the content on the Website belonging to third parties.

We are in no way liable for any damage arising in connection with the use of the Website.

Any and all disputes arising in connection with the use of the Website are to be handled by the locally competent court in the Czech Republic and in accordance with Czech law, regardless of where the Website was accessed from.

The Operator reserves the right to update, edit, modify, supplement, or otherwise change the information contained on the Website at any time and without prior notice, including these Terms.
