My research specializes in destination management and marketing, tourism impacts on society, and data use in decision-making. I author publications on tourism marketing, institutions, and sustainability and co-developed the award-winning DestinACE tool for data-driven decisions. I head the CzechTourism Institute of Tourism, evaluate projects for Czech ministries and foreign agencies, chair the Czech Scientific Experts Society in Tourism (SVECR), serve on the AIEST board, and teach at the University of West Bohemia and Prague University of Economics and Business.
