Bio →
I am a professor of European politics at Masaryk University, specializing in comparative politics and contemporary history. I analyze party-based Euroscepticism in Central Europe, business parties in Europe, and the role of heads of state within political systems. Within the SYRI project (National Institute for Research on the Socioeconomic Impacts of Diseases and Systemic Risks), I study Czech policymaking, the country’s position in the EU, European multilevel governance, and compare the influence of heads of state across selected European countries.
