I am a senior researcher at the Institute of International Relations Prague, Head of the Energy Policy Research Group and Deputy Head of the Center for Global Political Economy. I work as an Assistant Professor at Metropolitan University Prague, where I teach courses on security and the EU. My professional interests include energy security and policy of the EU, Russia, the Middle East and North Africa and their mutual relations, as well as IR theory and the geopolitics of transport routes. I am a member of the editorial board of the journals Vojenské rozhledy, CEJISS , Modern Africa and Energy Policy Studies.
