At the Department of Political Science of the Institute of Political Studies of the Charles University I specialize in political theory and the history of political thought. My main research area is republican political theory - especially its conceptual history, the integration of so-called "neo-Roman" "neo-Athenian" republicanism and the so-called "morphological" capture of republicanism as an ideology. I edited a collective monograph on the problems of different approaches to the interpretation of texts in the field of political thought. I have undertaken long-term research fellowships at Queen Mary, Oxford, Princeton and King's College.
