I specialize in political theory and the history of political thought at the Department of Political Science of the Institute of Political Studies of the Charles University. My main research area is republican political theory - especially its conceptual history, the integration of so-called "neo-Roman" "neo-Athenian" republicanism and the so-called "morphological" capture of republicanism as an ideology. I edited a collective monograph on the problems of different approaches to the interpretation of texts in the field of political thought. I have undertaken long-term research fellowships at Queen Mary, Oxford, Princeton and King's College.
