I am the Head of Department of International Law at the Faculty of Law at Charles University in Prague and a senior researcher at the Institute of International Relations Prague. I also serve as a member of the Venice Commission of the Council of Europe, a member of the FRA EU Management Board, as well as a member of four expert missions on Ukraine under the OSCE. My professional expertise is in the law of armed conflict, the law of human rights, the use of force in international relations, the fight against terrorism and other international legal topics.
