Bio →
I am a sociologist and communication studies expert. From 1997 to 2012, I worked at the University of West of Scotland, the University of Salford, and the University of Leeds. I later joined the Institute of Sociology of the Slovak Academy of Sciences, where I wrote a book on participatory journalism. Since 2016, I have worked at the Institute of Sociological Studies, Faculty of Social Sciences, Charles University, where I have led the Narrating Crisis project. Within SYRI (National Institute for Research on the Socioeconomic Impacts of Diseases and Systemic Risks), I research the discursive and semiotic construction of the Covid-19 pandemic.
