Mgr. Hrešanová Ema Ph.D.

I am a sociocultural anthropologist and sociologist by training. I have been studying social and cultural aspects of human (reproductive) health, especially childbirth and obstetrics, for a long time. My research is interdisciplinary, touching on medical anthropology, sociology of health and illness, medical history, and social studies of gender and health. My research interests have been shaped by a number of prestigious foreign internships and by collaboration with colleagues on domestic and international research projects.
