I specialize in the foreign and security policy of EU and its member states. I have recently been focusing on the role of small states in European foreign policy and the ways in which they promote their national interests and chose topics which they advance. Czech Republic, in my opinion, belongs to this category and I have published numerous works on its foreign policy within the EU. My teaching also touches on broader topics of European security policy, transatlantic relations and the position of the Czech Republic in the EU.
